» » » » » » Install Galaxy S4 TouchWiz launcher on any Android phone

Along with the most anticipated Galaxy SIV Samsung also brought tons of new features. One of them is the Touchwiz 5 launcher. We have earlier showed you How to install the Touchwiz launcher from Galaxy SIII on your devices. And now its time for one Touchwiz from Galaxy SIV. Linq’z QIrls’z Chinese is the guy behind this port for all devices. The developer has tested the launcher on most non-TouchWiz ROMs like CyanogenMod 10 and 10.1, AOKP, MIUI JB, Paranoid Android 3+ and others. The launcher works on almost all devices without any issues. But make sure your device is Properly  Rooted and also with CWM or TWRP Recovery installed on it.

For XHDPI (1280x720) devices: S4_Launcher_[XHDPI] By_Linq’zQirls’z.zip
For HDPI (480x800) devices: S4_Launcher_[HDPI] By_Linq’zQirls’z.zip
For MDPI (320x480) devices: S4 Launcher By Linq’z Qirls’z.zip
For LDPI (240x320) devices: S4 Launcher [LDPI] By Linq’z.zip

Instructions

 1. Download the launcher with proper resolution for your device and transfer it your root of SD card (not in any folder for convinience)
2. Backup your current ROM from “backup and restore” option in recovery (for safety but you can skip this step)
3. Go to "Advanced" and "Wipe dalvik cache" (do it before and after installation)
4. Now select "Install zip from sdcard" and then select the downloaded file and flash it
5. Go to "Advanced" and "Wipe dalvik cache” once again.
6. Get back and Reboot
Now as you press you home key you will have a TouchWiz launcher option. Viola it means you have successfully installed Touchwiz launcher off Galaxy S4 on your Non-Touchwiz device. Enjoy...!!

      Try extracting the proper version for your device and install the apk in it. If it worked then no need to root otherwise you need to be rooted. Stay connected

    I have installed hdpi version of this launcher in canvas 2plus of mine..... So far working awesome.... Just wanted to thank skytech for their valuable effort...Mukund tiwari.....     Working Smoothly on my MTK6589 Walton Primo X1..
    Just one issue. The small dot's to change pages appears as home icon. Which is not like touchwiz.. Any Ideas??

    I installed this on my Ainol Spark tablet with CM 10.1 and it is working but it doesn't fit the screen. I have the resolution set at 320dpi.
    Is there anything I can do to make it fit?

      More info: when I say it doesn't fit I mean it it too small, it looks like it's about phone size in the top middle of the tablet screen.

      Flash any other launcher via recovery such as xperia launcher you will find the xperia launcher in this blog. Or push any launch via adb using PC to your phone. This might help you

    Hi, I've been using this Launcher for quite long.. But it has a annoying bug.. When I create folder and put some app in it. after restarting these apps vanishes from folder and scatters around the app drower.. Can you give any updated version of this launcher please./....

    This launcher is no doubt the best touchwiz emulator put there. But sir it has a problem with the mms badge. It doesnt show any badge for unread text messages. Is there any solution for this? Thanks!

    Hey mate I have a rooted s3 mini I chose to use the HDPI version. I wiped dalvik flashed it in CWM Then rewiped dalvik. On reboot it gets stuck after optimizing apps it just stays on that screen forever. Cheers

    TouchWiz HDPI launcher works great. But when i tried LG UI 3 launcher for Jelly Bean 4.1+ also HDPI, resolution is not good and weather widget and icons are not centered.

    I installed this on my Feiteng GT-H9500 MTK6589 phone and I found out that every time I reboot the phone, the icons (shortcuts) of the app installed on a SD card disappear from my home(s) screen(s) and dock!!!
    Installed Nova Launcher and it works fine!
