Xiaomi Mi3 will be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop soon

Xiaomi Mi3 is going to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. @Ivan秋叶随风 (who is a developer working in Xiaomi) is currently working on the Android 5.0 ROM and has posted a picture on Weibo showing MI3 running stock Android 5.0 lollipop. He is the same guy who made the Android 5.0 ROM for the Xiaomi Mi2 and Mi2s. 
The ROM is for the WCDMA variant of the Mi3 which is sold out side of China in countries like India etc. There is no word about the public release of the ROM yet, but we can expect to come out in a week or two. Xiaomi is currently work on the MIUI V6 stable version global release. They have already released the MIUI V6 stable version for the Chinese market and will release it for the other markets soon. It's great to see that non nexus devices are also getting the latest Android version this fast.

Xolo Q2100 with Finger Print scanner launched, priced at Rs. 13,499

Xolo launched the all new Xolo Q2100 their first ever smartphone having a fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 5.5 inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. 
The phone have 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. Xolo Q2100 comes with a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the smartphone that lets you unlock your smartphone with a swipe over the the sensor. There's a Last Pass app secured by a fingerprint sensor to safeguard all passwords. It's also the first time that Xolo has given a infrared sensor that lets you control your TV, Set top box, DVD player etc with the built-in app and Peel Smart Remote

New Motorola Moto X with 5.2 inch display and 2.5 GHz quad core processor launched

After teasing the launch,  Motorola has finally launched the <a href="http://www.skytechblog.com/2014/09/motorola-launches-all-new-moto-x-with.html">Moto X (2n Gen)</a>. The phone is now bigger and now packs a 5.2 inch Full HD AMOLED display with all new aluminum frame design. The processor is now bumped up to 2.5GHz quad core and it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat which can be upgraded to Android L in future. 
Motorola also improved the camera from the earlier 8 megapixel now to 13 megapixel with a ring flash and a 2 megapixel front facing camera for your selfies. It has some unique software features like Moto Display which is enhanced version of Active display and also voice control and more features are included. It has four microphones for noise cancellation and infrared sensors on the front for gesture control.

To get the SIM card tray  you need to have a Xioami MI3 which is purchased officially via Flipkart. Spice mobiles has launched a new smartphone under the Google Android One project, the Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498. It's a Dual SIM phone which comes with a 4.5 inch IPS display with FWVGA resolution. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will receive software updates directly from Google just like a Nexus phone as its a Android One device. It is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 processor backed up by a Mali 400MP GPU for gaming. There is a 5.7 camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front for video calls. Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 is the all new phone launched by Micromax today. The phone comes with a 5 inch HD IPS display with oleophobic coating that makes it fingerprint resistant. Motorola launched the all new Motorola Moto X 2014 edition a successor to the last year's Moto X. The Moto X now boasts a 5.2 inch Full HD OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge launched

Samsung just launched the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge at the Unpacked event in Berlin,  Germany. The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with resolution of 2560X1440 pixels  while the galaxy Note Edge has a curved display  with the similar resolution. Both the phones run on Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Samsung Touchwiz UI. There is a 16 megapixel camera with 4K recording capability and 3.7  megapixel camera with aperture of 1.9. 
The international variant of the Note 4 will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 450 CPU, Adreno 420 GPU and 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of internal memory which can further be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card, supports LTE Cat.6 (300Mbps) connectivity. As expected there's an Exynos variant which packs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A57 clocked at 1.9GHz and four Cortex-A53 running at 1.3GHz, Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of RAM,  supports Exynos version gets LTE Cat.4 (150Mbps). The Galaxy Note Edge is almost similar to the Note 4 just the curved display being the biggest difference.

Micromax launched the all new Canvas L A108. The Canvas L A108 boasts a 5.5 inch qHD display with resolution of 540x960 pixels. It is powered a quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box just like the <a href="http://www.skytechblog.com/2014/05/micromax-unite-2-a106-with-4-7-inch.html">Unite 2</a>. Xiaomi comments on Sending Users Data to Chinese Servers secretly

Today the internet flooded with articles questioning about Xiaomi sending user data to Chinese servers and spying on their users. People who owns Xiaomi phones doesn't need to worry. Hugo Barra the Vice President of Xiaomi has answered all the questions raised by people all over the world about the security threat. 
Commenting on this issue Hugo says:
"Online articles recently referred to some privacy issues with the Redmi Note, claiming that photos and text messages are sent to China secretly. Are they true? 
A: An article severely misinterpreted a discussion thread asking about the Redmi Note's communication with a server in China. The article also neglected to refer to a Chinese version of this Q&A already posted on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Xiaomihongkong/posts/799059896795602 ">Xiaomi Hong Kong Facebook page</a> 
MIUI does not secretly upload photos and text messages. MIUI requests public data from Xiaomi servers from time to time. These include data such as preset greeting messages (thousands of jokes, holiday greetings and poems) in the Messaging app and MIUI OTA update notifications, i.e. all non-personal data that does not infringe on user privacy. 
Q: Does Xiaomi upload any personal data without my knowledge? 
A: Xiaomi offers a service called Mi Cloud that enables users to back up and manage personal information in the cloud, as well as sync to other devices. This includes contacts, notes, text messages and photos. Mi Cloud is turned off by default. Users must log in with their Mi accounts and manually turn on Mi Cloud. They also have the option to only turn on backup for certain types of data. The use and storage of data in Mi Cloud fully respects the local laws of each country and region. Strict encryption algorithms are implemented to protect user privacy. 
Q: Can I turn Mi Cloud off? 
A: Yes. Just go to Settings > Mi Cloud to turn it off. If you would like to use a cloud back up service from another provider, there are options from Google, Dropbox and many others. 
Q: Why should I believe you? 
A: Xiaomi is serious about user privacy and takes all possible steps to ensure our Internet services adhere to our privacy policy. We do not upload any personal information and data without the permission of users. In a globalized economy, Chinese manufacturers' handsets are selling well internationally, and many international brands are similarly successful in China – any unlawful activity would be greatly detrimental to a company's global expansion efforts.
So now Xiaomi made it clear that they are not spying on their users. They are legally backing up users data in their server by the users permissions. Only the people who want to save the data in cloud will be able to share their personal data with Xiaomi servers which is not misused or shared with public. This a relief to all Xiaomi users and the people who are willing to buy the Redmi Note.
