A week ago Micromax declared that the Superfone Canvas 2 will get the much awaited Official Jelly Bean update. And they kept their promise. After the launch of Canvas HD A116 every body thought that they will ignore the updates of A110 but they didn't. And here's the JB update (stock rom V3). You can update your A110 by the Nearest Micromax Service Center. And if you are not intrested to get there you can follow this simple guide to upgrade your A110. Be sure because this method is a bit risky
Requirements:- Stock ROM v3, PC, Drivers installed, SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1220.02
Instructions
1. Extract the Stock ROM in any folder
2. Start the SP Flash Tools, you'll see a Scatter-Loading option click on it and go to the extracted folder and look get into a folder with this name "S9081_MP_F4.1_B1_IN_MMX_1.10" and select the file."MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc" which is the scatter loading file.
3. Switch off your A110 wait for 10 sec. Now in SP Flash Tool, go to Options and Click USB Mode and enable it.
4. Click options once again and get into DA Download All then in 'Speed' select High Speed.
5. Click the Download option and the SP flash tool will start looking for your phone and now connect your phone now.
6. The flashing process will start now, As the process ends a green ring will appear.
7. Disconnect your phone
Now just start your phone and have a look at it, It's running Jelly Bean
You can also flash the Rooted Jelly Bean ROM via Clockworkmod recovery of your phone
Requirements:- Rooted A110, Clockworkmod recovery installed, Jelly bean Rom (Credits to paplu3
on xda).
Instructions
1. Switch off and boot into CWM.recovery by pressing the volume and power button both at once.
2. In recovery Select the "Install zip from SD card" option
3. And select the Jelly Bean rom and then select YES to flash the rom
4. After the process ends perform a Factory reset and Wipe dalvik cache which is "advanced" option in the recovery.
5. Reboot your phone.
And now enjoy the goodness of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on your Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2
