Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 launched, priced at Rs. 6,299

Spice mobiles has launched a new smartphone under the Google Android One project, the Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498. It's a Dual SIM phone which comes with a 4.5 inch IPS display with FWVGA resolution. It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will receive software updates directly from Google just like a Nexus phone as its a Android One device. It is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6582 processor backed up by a Mali 400MP GPU for gaming. There is a 5.7 camera on the back and a 2MP camera on the front for video calls. The comes with 35GB of free Google Drive storage and Spice Cloud app with 10GB of  free cloud storage.

Spice Stellar 520 and Stellar 526 smartphones with Android 4.4 KitKat launched

Spice mobiles is now feeling the heat in the market and increasing the Stellar series they launched two new devices the Spice Stellar 520 and Stellar 526. Both the phone has a 5 inch HD display with 1280x720 pixels resolution. They both run on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The main difference is the processor, Spice Stellar 520 runs on 1.3GHz Quad core processor while the Stellar 526 runs on 1.5GHz Hexa Core processor. Spice packed all the basic connectivity features in these smartphones.

Android One Project announced by Google

Yesterday at the Google I/O 2014 Sundar Pichai took the stage and announced the “Android One”, a new program for developing markets like India, by which OEMs can make low cost Android smartphones. This program will include a set of hardware reference platforms, which will ensure that the devices run on latest hardware and will have stock android out of the box. 
3 Key Features of Android One Project
● Stock Android:- All the devices under Android One project will run stock android. And won't have Custom UI or Bloatware that you see on other android devices. 
● Play Auto installs:– Pre installation of apps on the phone. OEM's will pre-install  apps like Whatsapp, Hike, etc on your phone.
● Full Automatic Updates:– All the software updates will be handled directly by Google, and these devices will get the latest update just like the Nexus or Google Play edition device.  
At launch event Google also showed a upcoming device by Micromax which will have a 4.5 inch screen, Dual Sim and FM Radio capabilities. India will be the first country where the "Android One" project launches A bold step by Google resulting in tons benefits for the end consumer. With "Android One" OEMs can make cheap low cost Android Smartphones running latest android version. Indian manufacturers like Micromax, Karbonn and Spice will be the first three OEM's to join the program. Most of the devices in Android One project will be priced under $100 (approx Rs. 6000). In future more smartphone manufacturers will join this program and more countries will be added later.

Spice mobiles launched the Pinnacle FHD Mi-525. As the name suggests the Spice Pinnacle FHD comes with a 5 inch Full HD display. Its a Dual Sim android device running the latest 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. How to update Spice Stellar Pinnacle Mi-530 to Official Jelly Bean 4.1

Note:- This will format your phone. Backup your Contacts, SMS & Apps etc and all other data for safety
Instructions 
1. Extract the Jelly Bean ROM (Firmware update) in any folder 
2. Install the USB drivers of your Spice Stellar Pinnacle 
3. Start the SP Flash Tools click on the Scatter-Loading option  and go to the extracted folder and select the "MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc" (it may be named different) the scatter loading file. 
4. Switch  off your phone completely. 
5. Click the Firmware upgrade option and the SP flash tool will start looking for your phone and now connect your phone (switched off). 
6. The flashing process will start now, As the process ends a green ring will appear. 
7. Disconnect your phone
Well all things done.. Now there you have it all the goodness of Jelly Bean on your phone

Intructions
1. Copy paste the recovery in the root of your sdcard not in any folder 
2. Start Root explorer go to the folder called system and there you will find a file 
recovery-from.boot.p 
3. Rename it to recovery- 
from.boot.p.bak 
4. Now start the Terminal emulator type "su" hit enter. 
5. Now you will get # sign and now write this code   dd if=/sdcard/cwm435.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16 and press enter. 
6. Switch off your phone press the Power and Volume down key both at the same time and keep pressing them
Volla..you have flashed Clockworkmod V6 on your Spice Stellar Nhance

3. Now select update recovery option & choose the recovery.img that you have transferred to your SDcard 
4. This will flash CWM (Clockworkmod) recovery. 
5. After the flashing ends your phone will reboot in recovery

4. A command prompt will start now 
5. Now you will get Onscreen 
Instructions just follow them  carefully. To start the process just type "1" and then hit Enter. 
6. Now you will get the instructions on the command 
prompt follow that. 
8. Your device will now reboot
Your Spice Stellar Nhance Mi-435  is now Rooted...!!!!! You c will get a Superuser or SuperSU app in the app drawer.
